- Online Recovery
"Check
Chase Online" is a web based program that can be accessed from
any web browser. The system has been designed to
automatically access the ACH network and electronically
re-present your returned checks on days that are most likely to
find money in the checkwriters account.
Having the ability to specify when a return item will be re-presented is
a powerful collection tool. For
example, since many people are paid on specific dates, such as the 1st or 15th
of the month, scheduling return items to be electronically re-presented on
these dates significantly increases the chances
that the check-writer's account will have sufficient funds. Check Chase
Online allows you to schedule items for electronic re-presentment:
Clients who like a "hands-on" approach can run this
system themselves. Those who have enough to do already can
simply configure the system once and let it run
automatically. Once configured, you never have to be involved
with the system again. Running automatically, Check Chase
Online will automatically collect your NSF checks and forward
the collected money to your account.
Detailed
online reporting, check images and step-by-step evolution is
available at all times. Additionally,
our
web reporting supports several formats that you can use to
update your accounts receivable and
negative
file system.
Typically,
Electronic
Check Recovery (RCK) will generally recover 65% - 75% of your NSF items
and do it far more quickly than traditional methods. Then,
any uncollected checks can be downloaded from our electronic
reporting site and worked by your collection department or
automatically forwarded to one of our full service collection
affiliates.

Your
business can continue to use the Electronic Recovery system without
charge. Using a "profit share" model,
Electronic Recovery is paid by keeping a portion of the
collected state fee. On average, the state allows you
to charge the checkwriter a $25.00 NSF fee, of which
Electronic Recovery will keep 20% and forward the
remaining 80% to you. (Note: You always keep 100%
of the check, even in those cases where an attempt is made
to collect a fee and the attempt is unsuccessful.)
-
Or,
you
may choose to pay a "per transaction" fee on each transaction that is
processed. This is often the preferred model for those
companies wishing to leverage the benefits of electronic
check recovery but who don't always want to process for the NSF
fee. In those cases where you decide that processing for the NSF
fee is appropriate, you pay only the transaction charge and
the NSF fee is 100% yours to keep.
